Microlax Enemas provide gentle effective relief from constipation.  They usually work within 30 minutes to provide predictable relief and restore your natural rhythm.  They work by softening the stool and acting as a lubricant.

Who is this medicine for?

This medicine can be used by adults and children.

How to use Microlax Enemas

• The recommended dose is one enema administered rectally as necessary.
• Twist the seal off the nozzle.
• Squeeze the tube slightly so that a drop smears the tip.  This will make inserting the nozzle easier.
• Insert the nozzle fully into the rectum (in children under 3 only insert the nozzle half way).
• Squeeze the tube.
• Withdraw the tube while still squeezing tightly.

Precautions

Do not use if you are allergic to any product ingredient.  Prolonged use of Micorlax Enemas may result in diarrhoea and low potassium levels, as well as irritation of the back passage.  Consult your doctor if you need to use Microlax Enemas every day.  Long term use of laxatives is not recommended without the cause being investigated.  Please contact us before purchase if you are taking any prescription medicines.  Other common side effects include nausea and abdominal pain.

Ingredients

Each enema contains sodium citrate and sodium lauryl sulphoacetate as the active ingredients.  Please see product packaging for a full list of other ingredients.  Pack size 4 enemas.

How to store Microlax Enemas

Do not store Microlax Enemas above 25°C.  Do not use the product after the expiry date marked on the pack.  Keep all medicines out of reach of children and remember to return all unused or out of date medicines to your pharmacy for safe disposal.
