Senokot Tablets

Senokot Tablets provide gentle effective relief from constipation.  It works within 8 to 12 hours to provide predictable relief and restore your natural rhythm.

Who is this medicine for?

This medicine can be used by adults and children aged 12 years and older.

How to use Senokot Tablets

The recommended dose is between 2 and 4 tablets in 24 hours, taken at night.  If you do not experience a bowel movement within 3 days of use, we recommend that you check with your GP or hospital doctor.

Precautions

Do not use if you are allergic to any product ingredient.  This medicine can colour the urine a yellow or red-brown colour.  This is harmless.  Prolonged use of laxatives may result in diarrhoea and low pottassium levels.  Consult your doctor if you need to use Senokot every day.  Long term use of laxatives is not recommended without the cause being investigated.

Pregnancy and Breast Feeding

Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or breast feeding.

Ingredients

Each tablet contains standardised senna equivalent to 7.5mg of total sennosides  Please see product packaging for a full list of other ingredients.  Pack size 60 tablets

How to store Senokot Tablets

Do not store Senokot Tablets above 25°C.  Do not use the product after the expiry date marked on the pack.  Keep all medicines out of reach of children and remember to return all unused or out of date medicines to your pharmacy for safe disposal.
