Curanail
Curanail is a nail lacquer used to treat fungal nail infections in up to 2 nails in adults.
What does Curanail contain
Curanail contains Amorolfine 5%w/v as the active ingredient. It also contains ammonio methacrylate copolymer Type A, triacetin, ethyl acetate and anhydrous ethanol.
Who can use Curanail
Curanail can be used by persons aged 18 years and over. It is suitable for treatment of up to 2 nails and can be used on both finger and toe nails. Please consult your doctor if you have an infection on more than 2 nails or if the infection is located at the base of the nail.
How to use
There a number of steps in the treatment. Everything you need is contained in the pack
- File down the infected area of nail
- Clean using an alcohol swab
- Apply the lacquer over the entire nail surface using the applicator and allow to dry. This will take about 3 minutes
- Repeat this process once weekly. Treatment can take up to six months for finger nail infections while toe nail infection can require up to nine months
- Do not use any nail varnish on affected nails for the duration of treatment
When not to use
Do not use Curanail if you have an infection on more than 2 nails. You should contact your doctor instead. You should also contact your doctor if you have diabetes; poor circulation in your hands or feet; or if you suffer from an illness, or take medicine, which affects your immune system. Do not use if you have ever had an allergy to amorolfine or any of the other ingredients.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding we recommend that you contact your doctor before using this product.
Possible side effects
Side effects which have been reported with the use of Curanail include itching or burning skin, brittle nails, and allergic skin reactions. Please consult product literature for a full list of possible side effects.
Storage
Keep the bottle tightly closed and protect it from heat. Use within six months of opening. Keep all medicines out of reach of children and remember to return all unused or date expired medicines to your pharmacy for safe disposal.
